Founded in 1969, Taylor’s College is one of the top colleges in Malaysia offering pre-university programmes.

Out of more than 400 private colleges in Malaysia, Taylor’s College is the only college awarded the MyQuest 6-Star (Outstanding) rating by the Ministry of Education Malaysia in the years 2010/2011 and 2012/2013 for the overall evaluation on the quality of learning.[1][2][3]

With two campuses in Subang Jaya and Sri Hartamas, Taylor’s College is the largest and the first independent centre for Cambridge A-Levels in the world with record breaking results and highest number of students scoring straight As in Malaysia.[4][5][6]

The institution is also the pioneer in Canadian Pre-University programme in Malaysia with over 88% of the teachers are Canadian with Ontario certification and teaching experience.[7]

Taylor’s College South Australian Matriculation / SACE International programme holds a strong academic excellence and teaching experience with 100% of the teachers are trained by SACE Board of South Australia.[8]

The academic excellence continues with the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), where Taylor’s College is the only private college in Malaysia that offers the programme in a unique college-setting that allows student to pursue their interest in a college environment.[9]

Every year, Taylor’s College successfully places more than 1,000 students to the World’s Top 200 Universities including Harvard, Cambridge and Oxford.[10]

In addition to Pre-university programmes, Taylor’s College also offers the ACCA Fundamentals and Professional accounting courses.

History

Foundation

Taylor’s College was founded in 1969 by a team of educators to offer the Victorian High School Certificate (VHSC), the first Pre-University programme to secondary school graduates in Malaysia.

For over 45 years, Taylor's College has established itself as the Best Pre-University in Malaysia, in academic excellence and track records for placing students in top universities of their choice.

From the first campus in Jalan Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, Taylor’s College moves to into a second campus in PJ New Town in 1985. With the growing number of students, Taylor’s College expanded their base to 380,707sqft facility in Subang Jaya.

2008: Brand Excellence Award by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia.[11]

2010/2011: Awarded highest rating Tier 6: Outstanding College in Malaysia based on the performance in terms of quality education, pre-university programmes and support for students.[13]

2013: Out of 143 colleges and universities in the world, Taylor’s College emerged No.1 in Malaysia for best student learning experience (I-Graduate)

Pre-University and Professional Programmes

Cambridge ‘A’ Levels

Taylor’s College is the biggest independent centre for Cambridge A Levels in Malaysia and the first to be awarded the Cambridge International Fellowship Centre status by the University of Cambridge International Examinations in 2004. The long-standing British education technique emphasises on academic excellence and professional competence to self-assured students with outstanding academic abilities.

Canadian Pre-University

Taylor’s College is the pioneer in Canadian Pre-University programme in Malaysia since 1983 with over 88% Canadian teachers. The programme encourages an interactive learning style and helps versatile students to shine with a broad-based curriculum that is both dynamic and creative.

South Australian Matriculation/SACE International

The most popular Australian-based Pre-university programme in Malaysia, the South Australian Matriculation attracts students who enjoy self-directed learning through its investigative approach. The programme is supported by a team of professionally trained educators from SACE Board of South Australia.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Introduced in 2009, the International Baccalaureate programme is designed to be academically-challenging and balanced in education to prepare graduates for success in university and beyond. During the 2-year period, students are guided to become leaders by a group of qualified and experienced teachers within a unique college environment.

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

ACCA courses in Taylor’s College offers direct industry exposure where selected lectures are conducted by the “Big 4” and industry leaders, exclusive luncheons with CEOs and internship opportunities into major firms and corporate companies.

Scholarships & Discounts

There are many opportunities for students at Taylor’s College to receive financial help during their studies.Taylor’s College scholarships, bursaries and discounts for alumni and siblings, are available to SPM/O Level/IGCSE graduates with good academic results and outstanding achievements in extra-curricular activities.

The KPM Bursary Pelajar Cemerlang, which is offered to students who achieved 9A+ and above in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations is available at Taylor's College. Two pre-university programmes are offered under the KPM Bursary: Cambridge A Levels and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. [20]

Student Placement Services

The Student Placement Services is located within the Taylor's College campus to assist students to be apply to the university of their choice. For the last 11 years, they have successfully placed more than 7,000 graduates in universities globally including London School of Economics, The University of Cambridge, The Australian National University, University of Melbourne, Harvard University, Oxford University, University of Toronto and many more.[21]
