Taungyo

The Taungyo (Burmese: တောင်ရိုး လူမျိုး) are a sub-ethnic group of the Bamar, primarily living in Shan State and centered on Pindaya.[1]

Language

They speak a dialect of the Burmese language similar to Arakanese.[2]
