Tatva-vada

Tatva-vada (also known as Bheda-vāda and Bimba-pratibimba-vāda) is a school of Vedanta founded by Shri Madhwacharya (c. 1238-1317), also known as Purna Prajna and Ananda Tirtha. Tatva-vada stresses a strict distinction between God- the Supreme Soul (paramātmā (परमात्मा))- and the individual soul (jiivatma (जीवात्मा)). According to Madhvacharya, the individual souls (atma) of beings are a reflection (prathibibma) of God (paramatma) and depend on Him for their existence.
