Taskin Ahmed (born 3 April 1995) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a youngster of Bangladesh.A left-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler. He represents Dhaka Metropolis in first-class and list A cricket and the Chittagong Kings franchise in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Ahmed made his first-class debut for Dhaka Metroplis in October 2011 against Barisal Division.[1] In his second Twenty20 match for the Chittagong Kings he was named man of the match for his bowling figures of 4/31 against Duronto Rajshahi.[2]
Even though Mashrafe Mortaza and Shahadat Hossain have been cited as the quickest ever Bangladeshi pacers, the 2 rarely bowl over speeds of 135 km/h. Taskin Ahmed has clocked in at 140 km/h and remained close to that speed in both first-class cricket and in his first T20I against Australia in the ICC WT20 tournament held in Bangladesh on the 1st of April, 2014.He is also selected to Bangladesh national cricket team in the 2015 Cricket World Cup Squad.
