Tashkent Islamic University. (uzb. Toshkent islom universiteti) Full name - Tashkent Islamic University under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. Located in Tashkent.
History
The university was founded by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in April 7, 1999 for the purpose of in-depth study, careful preservation, bringing to future generations a rich and unique spiritual and cultural heritage of Islam, as well as increase the level of knowledge of the population in this area of excellence that meet modern requirements. Tashkent Islamic University, one of the most prestigious universities of secular education in Uzbekistan, carrying out its activities under the Cabinet of Ministers. In a short time found its rightful place in the spiritual, educational, social and cultural life of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Subdivisions
3 faculties, 10 departments and 6 directions undergraduate majors and 4 graduate. University has more than 500 students in undergraduate and graduate programs, about 10 doctoral candidates. Faculties and research center employs 122 teachers, including 6 professors. Since 2007, the rector of the TIU is a doctor of economic sciences, Professor Abdullaev Ravshan Vahidovich.

• Publishing and printing house "Tashkent Islamic University" was founded in 1999 according to the decision of the Academic Council. It operates in the publication of scientific and theoretical research, which is the theme of the presentation of scientific ideas and works of the great thinkers of our people and the unique historical sources, enhancing spiritual and educational literacy.
• Tele-Studio «Ziyo» was established in June 2000. The main objective of the studio - preparation and broadcast on channel 1 of the Uzbek TV science and art of popular films and programs for the general public, based on national and religious values.
• Academic training courses at the University started its activities in 2001 on the basis of academic subjects on economic, social and humanitarian areas.
• Academic Lyceum creates opportunities to bring to school and realize the potential of young people showed great interest in subjects such as religious studies, Islamic studies, history and philosophy of Islam, theology, economics, natural sciences, who wish to continue their studies in higher education institutions have a comprehensive preparation and knowledge.
