Tariq Saleem Dogar is a former Inspector General of Police, Punjab.[1]
His father, Ch Muhammad Hussain Dogar, was a D&SJ. He did his graduation and master’s (English Literature) from the Government College Lahore (now G.C.U) and LLB from Punjab University. He joined the PSP in 1977 after passing the CSS examination. He served as SSP Lahore, DIG Lahore, CCPO Lahore, Commandant Elite Force and Director General, Anti-Corruption Establishment and subsequently in April 2009 was elevated to the Top post of Inspector General of Police, Punjab.
He visited various formations / Range Hqrs for farewell address to all ranks before his retirement. He served in Lahore for almost three decades.
After retirement from Police service he was appointed a member of Punjab Public Service Commission at Lahore.[1]
