Tardo Pede In Magiam Versus is the debut album from Italian progressive rock band, Jacula. The album is very different from the album In Cauda Semper Stat Venenum, claimed to have been released earlier. Notable differences include Doris Norton singing, new member Albert Goodman on drums, and the lack of the signature distortion guitar. Frontman Antonio Bartoccetti stated the reason that the albums were different is because, "We didn't want to reproduce the same album, and that many rock bands were repeating their sound." But nevertheless, the music is still dark even though more of an Italian progressive rock oriented sound. After the album, the band would change their name to Antonius Rex.
