Tapps is a Canadian Euro disco/Hi-NRG musical group formed in Toronto in 1983.

Barbara Doust is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She was the original lead vocalist for Tapps, one of Canada’s Eurodance/Hi-NRG recording acts. Doust’s voice graces all of Tapps’ early recordings, including the single "My Forbidden Lover".

Doust also recorded the original "Burning with Fire", which she co-wrote with producer Vince DeGiorgio. Doust never appeared live with the band. Their European album cover featured Allan Coelho and Tony Da Costa with a model who was not a vocalist. The picture was taken in the Toronto Transit Commission’s Eglinton Street subway station.
