Tanya Burr is an English fashion & beauty vlogger, blogger, make-up artist and writer. She is best known for her make-up and fashion channel on YouTube. In 2014, she released her own cosmetics diffusion line under the brand Tanya Burr Cosmetics.

Career

Burr grew up in Norwich and attended Long Stratton High School. She attended Notre Dame sixth form and completed a short course as a make-up artist, before getting a job on a beauty counter in a Jarrolds department store.[2][3][4]

Burr created her self-titled YouTube channel in October 2009 where she uploaded primarily make-up tutorials providing instructions on replicating "celebrity looks"; subsequently expanding to include beauty haul videos and vlogs.[2][3][4] She is a member of the Style Haul network and is represented by Dominic Smales at Gleam Futures.[5][6][7] Burr also appears alongside many other YouTubers on the channel DailyMix, which is managed by Gleam.[7][8] Burr is influential through social media. As of August 2014 Burr has over 2 million subscribers to her "Tanya Burr" YouTube channel and over 130 million video views; her second channel "Tanya's Vlogs!" has over 500k subscribers and 24 million video views.[9][10][11] She has over 900k followers on Twitter over 1 million on Instagram. Burr has done many collaborations on her channel with other YouTubers, including: Zoe Sugg, Louise Pentland, Alfie Deyes, Tyler Oakley, Joe Sugg, and many others.

Burr attends London Fashion Week each season and has been on the judging panel for the Elle Beauty Awards.[1][12] She also writes a regular column for Grazia magazine.[4]

In January 2014 Burr launched at Sanderson London a diffusion line of "eye CANDY" brand cosmetics through UK retailer Superdrug, called Tanya Burr Cosmetics.[1][13][14][15]

Love, Tanya

Burr released Love, Tanya, a non-fiction beauty guide and autobiography, through Penguin Books on 29 January 2015.[16][17][18]

Personal life

Burr has been in a relationship with fellow YouTuber and vlogger Jim Chapman since 2007, and they are currently engaged.[1]
