Tangail stadium also called as Tangail Zilla Stadium ( Bengali: টাঙ্গাইল স্টেডিয়াম ) is located at Club road, north side of Vashani Hall and Tangail Eid-gah, 200 metres away and west side of Shaheed Sriti Pouro Uddan ( Bengali: শহীদ স্মৃতি পৌর উদ্যান ) in the district of Tangail, Bangladesh. It is a multipurpose stadium. Cricket, football, concert and cultural programs take place here. It was established in 1938.
Cricket
Cricket is the most popular sport in Bangladesh, Tangail district is not far from that. The stadium is mostly used for cricket. The stadium has become a venue of inter district cricket events as well as local events too.[3][4][5][6] [7]
Football
Different local teams play among each other and it's a venue of inter district football matches. National Football also played here from 2014. [8][9][10]
