According to their traditions, they are the related to Sial and Tiwana tribes. All three tribes are said to be descendants from three brothers, Tila, Sila and Taloka, who were Panwar Rajputs. However, today, the Talokars are generally counted as Jats (Sardar Malik's), (SardarZada Malik) or (Mahar) as their descendent brothers Sial used the title (Sardar Khan), (SardarZada Khan), (Mahar) and Tiwana used the title (Malik Khan), (Sardar Khan) or (SardarZada Khan) rather than Rajputs in the Punjab. Each of the three tribes are headed by a chief called the nawab sahib (sardar). Unfortunately the chief of the Talokar tribe Khan-e-Khanan Nawab Sardar Khan Khuda'dad Khan died in 1689 with no successor. He was married with the daughter of Khan of Kalat and was the last chief of the Talokar tribe.
