Taleqan (Persian: طالقان, also Romanized as Ţāleqān)[1] is a city in the capital of Taleqan County, Alborz Province, Iran.Native people from Taleqan speak a dialect of northwestern Iranian languages. At the 2006 census, its population was 3,281, in 988 families.[2]
