Talen is a town in Madhya Pradesh.
Geography
Talen is located at 23°34′N 76°43′E / 23.57°N 76.72°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 428 metres (1404 feet). It was comes under the dry area. Mostly xerophytic plants are available, mostly babool, kikar, neem, cactus etc. It was comes under dry area but the climate is always pleasant and free from any type of pollution. Water for drinking purposes was obtained from well, tubewell and from nagar panchayat water supply.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Talen had a population of 9098. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Talen has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 61%, and female literacy is 35%. In Talen, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.
