Talbott Teas

Talbott Teas is a Chicago based gourmet tea company owned by Jamba Juice.

Company history

Talbott Teas was founded in 2003 by Shane Talbott and Dr. Steven Nakisher.[1] Shane Talbott spent over 20 years in the salon and spa industry and has served as Oprah Winfrey’s personal hair colorist for the past 10 years. Dr. Steven Nakisher is a psychologist and entrepreneur.

Talbott Teas was born out of another business that the two operated together. They owned a salon and spa, and wanted to give their clients an experience that pampered them “a step beyond”. They are so passionate about tea that Shane created a tea bar to share his unique tea creations with his clients. His tea blends became so popular that Steven and Shane decided to package and sell the tea in the salon. It was so well received that they sold the salon to build Talbott Teas.

Talbott Teas was purchased by Jamba Juice in 2012.[2]
