Takeshi Katō (加藤 武 Katō Takeshi, born 24 May 1929) is a Japanese actor. He has appeared in more than one hundred films since 1954.

Career

Graduating from Waseda University, Katō first became a middle school teacher, but then joined the Bungakuza theater troupe in 1952.[1] Beyond appearing in and directing plays on stage, he has also appeared in films by such directors as Akira Kurosawa, Shohei Imamura, Kon Ichikawa, and Kiriro Urayama.[1]
