Takam Sanjoy (born 15 May 1967) is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament belonging to the Indian National Congress. In the 2009 general election he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India from the Arunachal West constituency of Arunachal Pradesh.[1]

Youth politics and political career

He was an active member of NSUI, associated mostly in students' movements in Arunachal Pradesh and North East. He was involved in the emancipation of women in the socially inflicted society of Arunachal Pradesh and in the workers' movement and education for tribal boys and girls. In 1994, he was elected for the first time to the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. As a cabinet minister, he fought for the separation of judiciary and executive. The Land Settlement Bill for Arunachal Pradesh was legislated as Land Management Minister.
