Taipei Community Services Center
Taipei Community Services Center (Traditional Chinese: 國際社區服務文教中心[1]), also called The Community Services Center, is a Taipei-based non-profit organization founded in 1987 to offer support services to the international community in Taiwan.[2] The majority of the center's services are offered in English.
Overview
Some of the organization's programs include:
- Counseling,[3] including crisis response
- Newcomer orientation programs
- Cross-Cultural training for the workplace[3]
- English Language Publications, including Taipei Living, which is a guidebook for living in Taipei[3]
- Information and referral services
- Programs and Education, including basic Chinese and cultural classes such as tea culture.
Publications
The center publishes several items, including: "Taipei Living" large information book on living in Taipei, "Centered on Taipei" a magazine on Taiwan lifestyle, Taipei guide books, "Taxi Cards!" common Chinese phrases, "Taipei City Map", "Taiwan A-Z", a guide to Taiwan culture.[4]
