Amer Taher Abouzeid El Sayed (Arabic: عامر طاهر أبو زيد السيد) born 1 April 1962, is the Egyptian Minister of State for Sports[2] and a retired footballer. He played as a midfielder for El-Ahly and the Egyptian national team.

Abouzaid made several appearances for the Egypt national football team, including participating in the 1984, where he was top scorer with 4 goals,[3] 1986 where he scored three valuable goals. In 1988, he was excluded from the Egyptian national team squad competing in the African Cup of Nations. He also played in the 1990 FIFA World Cup finals.[4]

Abouzaid also played for Egypt at the 1984 Summer Olympics.[5]

He was on the El-Ahly's board of directors.
