He was selected for 2014 Under-19s World Cup in 2014 in United Arab Emirates at age of 16.

Chanderpaul scored an unbeaten 84 paved the way for West Indies Under-19 cricket team' 167-run thrashing of Zimbabwe Under-19 cricket team in Abu Dhabi.

Chanderpaul struck six fours during his knock and forged fifty-plus partnerships with Shimron Hetmyer and Jonathan Drakes to propel the team to a formidable 275 for 6 from their 50 overs.

Domestic career

He plays for Guyana in first-class cricket and made his first-class debut in February 2013 at aged 16 or Guyana against Leeward Islands in the regional four-day competition at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound.

His father Shivnarine had also made his first-class debut for Guyana as a teenager, when he was 18. Shivnarine was playing the Bangladesh Premier League and was away during the course of his son's debut.
