Tacko Fall (born Elhadji Serigne Tacko Diop Fall) is an American basketball player who was born in Dakar, Senegal. He plays center for Liberty Christian Preparatory School in his hometown of Tavares, Florida, USA. He is among the top 60 or so tallest people in human existence.[1]

Personal life

Born and raised in Senegal, at the age of 16, Tacko Fall moved from Senegal to America. Before the age of 16, he had been playing soccer and had no interest in basketball. He was spotted by Ibrahim N'Diaye (brother of former NBA first round draft pick Mamadou N'Diaye) and was pursued by Ibrahim to make the switch to basketball and train in his Senegalese basketball academy. Fall was not immediately sold on the idea of basketball, but eventually agreed to do so for the potential opportunity of going to America to study.[1]

He is 7 foot, 6 inches and is still growing, making him the tallest high school basketball player in the country.[2] Tacko Fall maintains a 4.0 GPA in high school and due to his size and 8 foot wing-span[3] he was one of the most highly scouted high school basketball centers in the country. With nearly 40 schools expressing interest in him,[2] Fall committed to the University of Central Florida, who had officially signed him on October 28, 2014.[4]

It is unclear whether or not Fall will play professionally after playing on the collegiate level. If not, Fall has mentioned interest in becoming an engineer for a tech company such as Siemens or Microsoft.[1]
