Information

The UOL TV was the first television station that broadcast exclusively over the Internet. Being part of the portal Universe Online, had its first broadcast in 1997, using the VDOLive format - currently, the format used in the transmissions is Adobe Flash, having already adopted Windows Media and Real Media in the past.

Besides broadcaster, currently the TVUOL is also a portal for videos, allowing users to submit their videos by page "Mais Uol" (The Mais Uol is still in beta, but sending videos, photos and other multimedia content is already permitted), and still allows the sharing of video for blogs, websites, etc by embed code of the video (which is below the video, just must be copied).It's currently the 4th largest website to share videos(for free) in the world, with over 2 million videos (January 2015).

The programming of the station is distributed in 14 channels, separated by categories, in its most watched on demand. There are some TV channels like BBC(Brazil), The new york times, Discovery(Brazil), and users channels, like GameHall, Olhar Digital,Omelete, Charges, ETC.
