The Theban Tomb TT27 is located in El-Assasif, part of the Theban Necropolis, on the west bank of the Nile, opposite to Luxor. It is the burial place of the Ancient Egyptian official, Sheshonk.
Sheshonk was the chief steward of the Divine Adoratrice of Amun Ankhnesneferibre. Sheshonk dates to the time of king Apries and king Amasis II. Sheshonk was the son of Harsiesi and Tahibet. His father was a chamberlain to the Divine Adoratrice as well.[1]
