Taiwan Rolling Stock Company (TRSC) is a rail vehicle company. TRSC locates at Hsinchu county and it is near the Xinfeng Station. It was a rail vehicle part of Tang Eng Iron Works before 2002. After the privatization, the company received several orders from Taiwan Railways Administration and also Kawasaki Heavy Industries. For example, some of vehicles(type C371, C381) of the Taipei metro system were built by TRSC.[1] TRSC cooperates with Nippon Sharyo in several products, such as DHL100, Alisha Forest locomotive, EMU700,[2][3] EMU800.[4] There was a dispute of EMU800 at its beginning stage. The brake system was different with specifications because the supplier made a mistake on the type of brake system. After the dispute was solved, TRSC started to deliver EMU800 trains to the Taiwan Railways Administration.[5][6] In recent year TRSC cooperates with Voith Engineering Services for the Danhai LRT.[7] TRSC is now owned by China Steel Corporation since 2015.[8][9] TRSC's products range from locomotives, cabs, EMUs, trams and it receives more and more orders from customers. It is the only company that can design, manufacture and serve maintenances in Taiwan.
