Thomas Joseph "T.J." Thyne (last name pronounced thighN) (born March 7, 1975) is an American actor, best known for his role on Bones as Dr. Jack Hodgins, an entomologist.
Biography
Thyne was born in Boston, Massachusetts to John J. Thyne II and Catherine Thyne and is one of six children with two brothers, John and Tone and three sisters, Hazel, Katie and Shelly. He attended East Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield, Connecticut, before moving south to attend high school in Plano, Texas. He went on to attend the USC School of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1997. In 2001, he co-founded Theatre Junkies, a group offering workshops and professional development for actors in the Greater Los Angeles Area. One of his brothers is television producer Tone Thyne; another is attorney John Thyne III, who ran for the Santa Barbara City Council in 2009.[1] Thyne became engaged to Leah Park on December 30, 2013, in Germany. His last name is pronounced “like 'thigh' with an N at the end.”[2]
