T.Sundupalle is a village and a mandal in Kadapa district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1]

Geography

T.Sundupalli is a major mandal in Kadapa district with 'T' standing for Thimmasamudram. T.Sundupalli is surrounded by Pincha and Rayavaram in the east, Sanipai and Rajempeta town in the north, Rayachoti and Kadapa towns in the west, and Pileru and Tirupati in the south.

The climate is temperate when compared with other places in Kadapa district. Maximum temperature ranges from 18-32 °C during winter and 30-40 °C during summer. Sundupalli has very fertile lands. Most of the farming is dep€endent on monsoon rains and some under the river water flowing from Piler to Pincha dam and river Bahuda.

It is one of the good sightseeing places as it is on the bank of river "Bahuda". "Bahu" means hands and "dha" means donates in Sanskrit. Thus, Bahuda means the river that donates the hands. It originates at Kanipakam in Chittor district, a well known historic place and passes through this village. Annamacharya project has built on that river near to Rajampeta.

Economy

It is believed that APSRTC Rayachoti depot makes about 15% of its annual revenue from buses traveling in between Rayachoti and Sundupalli route, regardless of the season.

It takes about 45 minutes to reach Rayachoti from Sundupalli, two hours to reach Rajampet, four hours to reach Tirupati, three hours to reach Kadapa, where most of the roads are better. It has a post office, a police station, a government hospital, a veterinary hospital, a government college, and a government school. Sundupalli also has an State Bank of India ATM Center. Along with State Bank, one Syndicate Bank and one Grammena Seva Bank is available in Sundupalli.

In Sundupalli, so many people are well educated, doing jobs in big MNC as well as in Foreign Countries. A good place for education also, so many private schools along with one good Govt High school. one degree college, one intermediate college, one Engineering college nearby, one of the best college, under JNTU.

More than 50 percent people are illiterate in T.Sundupalle. Locals mainly depend on agriculture—growing Paddy & Groundnut as major crops. For the past decade Mango gardens have been main resource of income after the perennial shortage of rains. Sugar cane is grown in some areas of T.Sundupalli mandal. Many people also seek employment opportunities in Gulf nations, mostly in Kuwait. Fluorine content is not much in it, but part of the areas are affected by this fluorine. Government department is taking good measures to prevent it.

There is famous Goddess Nagarapamma temple near Besthapalli. Every year they celebrate jatara in very grand manner. Thousands of people come from different districts and celebrate the festival.
