Syssphinx hubbardi also known as Hubbard's Silk Moth[2] is a species of moth in the Saturniidae family. It can be found in Mexico and the southern United States.[3]
Distribution
The species can be found in Arizona, Texas and California.[4] It is also found in the Sonora Desert in Mexico.[5]
Ecology
The caterpillars are 2.5 inches long,[6] and green with red dots. It also has a violet line, that runs across its body.[7] They commonly feed on Prosopis and Cercidium micrphyllum.[8]
