Synodontis lucipinnis is a species of upside-down catfish endemic to Lake Tanganyika and only known from its type locality[1] (Musende Rocks, Zambia[2]). This species grows to a length of 7.9 centimetres (3.1 in) SL.[1] This fish is commonly mislabeled as Synodontis petricola in many fish shops. In aquariums, this species requires at least 76 litres (20 US gal) for a group.
