Symplocos cuneata is a species of plant in the Symplocaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.

Leaves

elliptic, tapered base, long-pointed apex, lateral veins 6-10 pairs, curved to form intramarginal vein, secondaries transverse; adpressed hairy.

Trunk

twigs adpressed hairs.

Flowers

pinkish-white; Inflorescence - short, adpressed hairy raceme.

Fruits

purple, nearly cylindrical, hairy drupe, narrowed towards apex.

Ecology

rain forest understory, gaps and fringes of wet zone.
