Symplocos cordifolia is a species of plant in the Symplocaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
elliptic to obovate, base cordate to ear-shaped, rounded or pointed apex, margin sharply dentate, strongly rolled down, lateral veins 10-18 pairs.
Trunk
twigs glabrous.
Flowers
pink; Inflorescence - many spikes terminally crowded.
Fruits
ovoid to ellipsoid with long persistent calyx.
Ecology
montane forest understory; scrub.
