Fine, Inc., the book covers the relationship of Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy. Rich drew heavily on Eddy's mother, who had kept Eddy's diaries and letters.[1]
Reception
A review in The Los Angeles Times called the book "controversial".[2] According to Kirkus Reviews, the book is a "bonanza for MacDonald/Eddy fans" and people interested in the history of MGM, but too detailed for readers with less specialized interests.[1]
