Swaragini — Jodein Rishton Ke Sur commonly abbreviated as Swaragini is an Indian television series, which premiered on March 02, 2015 on Colors TV.

Plot Summary

The story revolves around the life of two families living in Kolkata, one being a Marwari family and other being a Bengali family. Swara is a modern, open minded, enthusiastic and an emotional girl who belongs to the Bengali family. On the other hand Ragini is a shy, reserved and a traditional girl hails from the Marwari family. Although neighbours, both the families are long term foes and fight on all issues. One day Swara meets a modern, yet bad mannered young boy, Lakshya, who hails from the rich Maheshwari family. They become enemies the day they meet. Swara soon learns that Shekhar, Ragini's father, is also her father, and he and Swara's mother, Sharmishtha, were in love 20 years back, but because of certain circumstances were separated. Swara learns that Laksh is Ragini's soon to be husband, and does everything she can to bringup Laksh's real identity, Lucky, in front of his parents, causing him to eventually be thrown out of his house. Laksh did not want to take part in this marriage because he thought of Ragini as a reserved girl who would not be able to keep up with him and converse with him throughout his life, and he is too young to get married. When Durga Prasad finds out about Swara being Shekhar and Sharmishtha's daughter, he comes to acquire the truth from the family themselves. After hearing the insult of Ragini and Swara's family, Ragini breaks the marriage, causing Durga Prasad to ruin their reputation in the society. Durga Prasaddecided to ruin the reputation of the Marwari' family, but didn't succeed, when 'Swaragini 'took oath that they would reunite their parents once and forever. Meanwhile, Laksh leaves his home on the extreme anger over his father (Durga Prasad), about his evil deeds. On the other hand, Parvati and her husband are about to suicide, but are approached by Laksh and a friend, who do not let them to.
