Sven Kums (26 February 1988 in Asse) is a Belgian footballer who currently plays in the Belgian Pro League for Gent.
Career
He began his career by Dilbeek Sport, before 1993 joined to R.S.C. Anderlecht. He presented 13 years the youth and reserve team from R.S.C. Anderlecht, also he was loaned out in January 2007 to Lierse S.K..[1] He made his debut in professional football, being part of the Lierse S.K. squad in the 2006-07 season, on 10 February 2007 against FC Brussels. After one year loan spell at Lierse S.K. turned back to R.S.C. Anderlecht, after one month in Brussels was loaned out to K.V. Kortrijk in January 2008, in June 2008 pulled Kortrijk the sold option.[2] In March 2011 sc Heerenveen announced that Kums would join their team for the season 2011-12, the transfer fee was €500.000. Kums played his first match in the eredivisie on the 6th of August 2011 against NEC.
International
On 5 September 2008 deputed Kums for the Belgium national under-21 football team against Slovakia U-21.[3]

His father Ludo Kums is youth coach at his former club R.S.C. Anderlecht.
