Survakari Nunatak

Location of Trinity Peninsula.

Survakari Nunatak (Bulgarian: нунатак Сурвакари, ‘Nunatak Survakari’ \'nu-na-tak sur-va-'ka-ri\) is the rocky hill rising to 600 m in upper Sjögren Glacier, in the southeast foothills of Detroit Plateau on southern Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land, Antarctica.

The nunatak is named after the Bulgarian New Year’s folkloric ritual of ‘Survakari’.

Location

Survakari Nunatak is located at 64°09′40″S 59°14′45″W / 64.16111°S 59.24583°WCoordinates: 64°09′40″S 59°14′45″W / 64.16111°S 59.24583°W, which is 5.66 km south-southeast of Seydol Crag, 4.09 km west-southwest of Mureno Peak, 8.2 km northwest of Vetrovala Peak and 6.29 km northeast of Mount Hornsby.
