Founded by Justin Cameron and Lex Pedersen from Sydney's Northern Beaches, SurfStitch has grown from a backyard garage operation to a global business. SurfStitch has become Australia’s largest online fashion retailer, the world’s largest online action sports and youth apparel retailer, and is home to over 20,000+ products and 600 brands.
In 2007, Justin and Lex began to fill a void left by traditional surf shops buying conservatively in regard to size, style and products. Launching SurfStitch.com several years ago, Justin and Lex continue to be the driving force behind the website. With nearly 20 years industry experience, a passion for customer service and strong product knowledge background, Lex and Justin have taken the unique Australian surf experience global.
After launching the business’ European operations in late 2012, SurfStitch complemented this success by acquiring Europe's largest player, Surfdome.com (founded by Justin Stone). This was followed by the acquisition of the North American leading online retail platform, Swell.com. Both the North American base in southern California and the European base on the coast of south-west France offer the same leading customer service proposition that won the company Best Pure-Play Online Retailer in 2011, 2012 and 2014 at the ORIA Awards.
2015 witnessed the successful IPO of the SurfStitch Group on the Australian Stock Exchange (Stock Code SRF.AX).
