Suresh H. Advani
Dr Suresh H Advani is a famous oncologist who pioneered Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in India. Struck by poliomyelitis at the age of 8 years, the wheelchair doctor studied at Grant Medical College, Mumbai and then completed his Masters in oncology.[1] He gained experience in the field of bone marrow transplantation from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, Washington.[2]

- Recipient of the prestigious “Dhanvantari Award” for outstanding contributions to medicine (2002)
