Sundaram Ramakrishnan is an Indian space scientist[1][2] and a former director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, who is known to have contributed to the development of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).[3] He has served the Indian Space Research Organization[1][2] for over 40 years.[3]
Ramakrishnan, who is credited with several scientific papers on space science,[4] was honoured by the Government of India in 2003 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.[5]
