Suman Adhikary is one of the young film director of modern India.
Early life
He was born in Calcutta in 1985. He graduated from the West Bengal University of Technology and then completed MBA from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.
Career
He started making documentaries in 2008 and worked with some group theatre in Calcutta. He also dedicated some time as an editor and actor as well. He made his first documentary– Ekhono Tanchhi in 2008 based on Hand Pulled Rickshaw in Calcutta. He has since made four short films including Unseen (2010), Countdown (2011), My Precious Gift (2012), Resurrection (2013) and working on a feature film Photographer (post production). He is now working on another feature film based on folk culture.
