Sumalani

Sumalani is a (Balochi: بلوچ Baloch tribe located in Balochistan province of Pakistan.^[1] Sumalani is one of the largest tribes in Balochistan and one of the important Baloch tribe of Sarawan and Jhalawan. Sardar Sarfaraz Khan Sumalani is the Sardar of the tribe, and Sardarzada Mir Sakhi Jan is his son.

The Sumalani is one of the largest Baloch tribes in Balochistan and Sindh provinces of Pakistan and province of Afghanistan Kandahar, Helmand and Nimroz, and also located in Sistan va Balochistan province of Iran. Since the times of the British Raj, they have been noted for their fierce struggle for independence and clashes with authorities. Currently, some leading members of the Sumalani tribes are of Balochistan are divide into two sardars of Jhalawan and Sarawan. Locations Main districts in Balochistan with Sumalani tribe. In Balochistan the Sumalani tribes are mainly settled in the Bolan, Sibi, Quetta, Khuzdar, Chaghi, Kalat , Naseerabad, Jaffarabad , Turbat , Mustung and Nushki districts. These districts are on the floor or the neighboring hills of a broad, dry valley that slopes gradually upward from the Sindh plains to the Bolan Pass, a route through the mountains to Quetta and Afghanistan. Sibi Coordinates: 29°33′N 67°53′E is the gateway to the Bolan Pass. The Sumalani are also settled in the Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Jacobabad and Shikarpur districts of Sindh. Sumalani's are one of the most brave, united, hardworking, true and loyal to their motherland overall strength of this tribe gives it is the 2nd biggest in the Baloch tribe.
