Suaeda fruticosa is a species of plant in the family Amaranthaceae (formerly classified under the Chenopodiaceae).[1]
Distribution
This plant is found in many locations, including in: North America, South America, Western Europe, Mediterranean region, Egypt, Northern Africa, West Africa, South Africa, the Horn of Africa, Iran, and Australia. It is an excellent salinity regulator, capable of reducing the pH of the soil considerably. It is, hence a halophyte. [2]
