Street of Dreams is a musical with music and lyrics by Trisha Ward and co-written with Damon Rochefort.[1] It is directed by John Stephenson.[2] It is based on the television series Coronation Street and the 2011 album Coronation Street: Rogues, Angels, Heroes and Fools.[3]
The show was originally scheduled to begin on 21 March 2012 at the Manchester Arena;[4] however, due to the intricacy of scale involved, the opening date of the production was delayed until 9 May.[2] Following its debut, the production will go on an arena tour of the UK and Ireland.[5]
Joe McElderry will make a guest appearance in the musical, singing the finale number "Ghost - Take My Hand" in the Newcastle dates on May 29 and May 30.[6]
