Strange and Beautiful is the third album from progressive metal band Crimson Glory. Initially released in 1991, it was the first album after the departure of guitarist Ben Jackson and drummer Dana Burnell. The record was also their first, and last, for new label, Atlantic Records. Two songs were co-written by Marcy Rauer Wagman,[2] an Associate Professor and former Program Director of the B.S. in Music Industry major at Drexel University while the first single "The Chant" was written by outside songwriters Brian McKinley & Marti Frederiksen. The band went on hiatus following the supporting tour during which future Michael Schenker Group frontman David Van Landing replaced singer Midnight.
