Production
Shot in black and white, and influenced by the phantasmagoria of theatrical performances which preceded early horror films the production was filmed during September–November 2011 in the Czech Republic. Internal theatre scenes were shot at the King's Theatre in Southsea, Portsmouth. Post-production was completed January 2013.
The Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign exceeded its goal, with total funding reaching $12,100 on July 24, 2011, after becoming Indiegogo's Project Of The Day on June 29, 2011. Music for the film was created by composer Stephen Baysted.
Innovations
Backers of the crowdfunding campaign were given access to 'subscription of experiences' [3][4] which included transmedia content delivered by email and web page. Upon release, an immersive theatrical component will be present at cinema showings.
