"Stop to Start" is a song recorded by American R&B soul vocal quintet Blue Magic, released in 1974.

It was written by Allan Felder and Jim Grant and released on the album Blue Magic. The song was Blue Magic's third single and preceded their million-selling "Sideshow" and got a good run on urban radio. "Stop to Start" is a strong ballad about a rocky romance and was their biggest hit to date.
