Stockton Heat
The Stockton Heat will be a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) which will begin play for the 2015-16 season. Based in Stockton, California and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames, the team will play its home games at Stockton Arena. It is a relocation of the existing Adirondack Flames AHL franchise, joining several other AHL franchises to form a new AHL Pacific Division in California.
The Heat will replace the ECHL's Stockton Thunder, which began play in 2005 and will continue to do so until the end of the 2014–15 season, after which they will move to Glens Falls, New York to play as the Adirondack Thunder.
