Stockton Collegiate International School (SCIS) is a public charter school located in Stockton, California, serving grades kindergarten through 12th. Stockton Collegiate International School opened two public charter institutions on September 7, 2010 in downtown Stockton, CA.[1] Principal and cofounder is Scott Luhn.
With over 450 students,Stockton Collegiate offers a large number of International Baccalaureate courses that prepare students for IB examinations every spring.[2] The IB tests are either Standard Level (SL) or Higher Level (HL) based on the amount of coursework prior to the examination. This school is also one of the only schools in the world to be an IB school from k-12 grades.
Their website says, " The mission of Stockton Collegiate International Schools is to offer the rigorous, relevant, and practical International Baccalaureate (IB) curricula and methodology to urban students grades K-12 in order to prepare them for post-secondary education and global citizenship in the 21st century. Stockton Collegiate International Schools will enable students to become literate, self-motivated, competent, lifelong learners by providing a multi-cultural, student- centered environment. "
