Steven Van Slyke is an American chemist. He is known for his work with Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED)s.
Education and career
Van Slyke received his B.A. degree in chemistry from Ithaca College and his M.S. degree in materials science from Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a research scientist at the Eastman Kodak Research Laboratories from 1979 to 2010.
In June 2001 Van Slyke and Dr. Ching W. Tang received an Industrial Innovation Award from the American Chemical Society for their work with organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). [1] In 2004 he was a co-recipient of the "ACS Award for Team Innovation", also awarded by the American Chemical Society.[2]
In 2004 he became an Associate Editor of the Journal of the Society for Information Display.[3]
