Steven Fairweather (born December 29, 1977 in Vancouver, BC, Canada) is a Canadian musician and is the current bassist of the Canadian punk rock band Gob.

Career

2001 to 2011

Steven has played in past bands including Revelation Records' post-hardcore band By a Thread,[1] and appeared on demo versions of songs by sub pops' punk rock band the Black Halos.[2] Steven recorded his debut solo album ' you-and-yours ' releasing it in 2011[3] Besides playing music Steven Fairweather is an avid photographer[4]


2012 to present

- In a June 2nd 2013 interview[5] Steven spoke of Gob releasing their newest album entitled 'APT 13' "very soon", with a tour to follow.

- On the science fiction Showcase television series Continuum the main character triggers a hidden psychiatric protocol program called "Mr Fairweather"[6] played by Alessandro_Juliani named after Steven.[7]

- Steven is currently working on the follow up to his debut solo album.[8] Entitled "VISITORS" with guest vocals by Pink Mountaintops and Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's Lie Down in the Light singer Ashley Webber. Who meet when they both worked for organizations that meet the basic living requirements of the chronically poor, drug addicted and mentally ill in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside neighborhood, such as Insite.
