Steve Whiteman (born 28 August 1956) is an American-born rock singer, best known for being the lead singer of Kix.

Biography

Whiteman first started his career in a Led Zeppelin cover band and joined Kix in 1978 when they were known as "The Shooze". The group has released seven studio albums and one live album with Whiteman on vocals, however the band went on hiatus in 1996 when Whiteman and bassist-songwriter Donnie Purnell got in a fight and disbanded the name.

Later that year, Whiteman went on to form the band Funny Money with guitarist Billy Andrews who he met at a charity gig in Baltimore, Funny Money has put out four studio albums since its formation. In 2003, the members of Kix, sans Purnell, got back together with Centerfold bassist Mark Schenker, and has since put out the album Rock Your Face Off in 2014.
