Steve Thompson, Edmonton-McClung

Steve Thompson is a Canadian businessman. Steve is currently the Wildrose Edmonton-McClung candidate for the Alberta general election, 2015.^[1]

Early life

Thompson was born into a Military family that lived in Quebec and Alberta before settling in Ontario for his school years. After studying chemistry at McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario, Steve moved to Alberta and settled in Edmonton-McClung. Steve has owned and managed Alberta companies in the retail and service section ranging from 250 employees to sole proprietorships. Thompson has trained and mentored hundreds of people and achieved a high level of success throughout his career. His sales agency represents top brands in the consumer electronics and custom integration industry.

Prior to starting his own company, Steve was the General Manager for Visions Electronics (1989–1994) and General Manager of Krazy Krazy Electronics Warehouse (1985–1989).^[2]

Political career

Provincially, Steve has served as Wildrose President of the Edmonton-McClung Constituency Association and federally he serves on the Edmonton West board of the Conservative Party of Canada.

His Opponent in the Edmonton-McClung 2015 election is two-term MLA David Xiao (PC Party/Progressive Conservatives)^[3]

Personal life

Steve is married and has 3 daughters. The Thompson Family also includes two Siberian Huskies. Steve maintains a strong fitness routine, enjoys riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending quality time with his family.
