Steven Delton Smyth (born June 3, 1978 in Brawley, California) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He played his only major league season with the Chicago Cubs in 2002.
In 2005, Smyth began playing for the independent San Diego Surf Dawgs of the Golden Baseball League. In 10 games for the Surf Dawgs, he had a 2.64 ERA. In 2006, he started 5 games for the Surf Dawgs and had a 3.15 ERA. In 2007, Smyth played for the York Revolution of the independent Atlantic League. In 2008, he went back to the Golden League playing for the Edmonton Cracker-Cats and Long Beach Armada.
After leaving baseball in 2008 Smyth has become a firefighter.
